The story is rich, so we kept our name simple: In Norwegian “Ulv” translates to wolf and “Ravn” to raven. Pronounced as ‘UL’ as in “fULL” and ‘VN’ as in “thriVIN’”.
Heavily influenced by Norse mythology, our signature image, “Bound by Odin”, aims to capture the beautiful symbiotic relationship of the mythological tale of Odin and his unrelenting persual of wisdom and desire to understand the world. We feel it captures the very essence of what we strive for as individuals.
Odin, the All-Father, was born to a man who emerged from a block of ice that a giant cow licked for 3 days straight. He, along with his two brothers killed the first giant and created the world and all things in it with the dead giant’s remains. They turned his blood into rivers, bones into mountains, and threw his brains in the sky to create the clouds. … They built them differently back in the day.
Odin, as many know, is the first and most powerful of the Norse gods. He had an insatiable desire for knowledge and left his brothers to seek wisdom. As he wandered, he became lonely. So he created two wolves to wander the world with him- Geri, and Freki. They were loyal and went everywhere with Odin.
